Rosacea Symptoms and Solutions

What is Rosacea?

It is a common skin ailment that approximately 16 million Americans suffer from, most do not even know that they have it. A chronic, inflammatory skin disease that principally affects the face, it produces small, red, pus-filled pustules(bumps) and if left untreated can worsen. Because of its close similarity, it is ofter mistaken for acne or eczema.

Common Symptoms include:

  • Flushing
  • Facial Skin Hyper-sensitivity
  • Persistent Redness
  • Spots, Papules and Pastules in affected areas.

Of all the pain and indignities that come with Rosacea, few are more debilitating than going through your day with a red face. Commonly "Rosy Cheeks"

Rosacea stings. The itching. The prickling heat. But the embarrassment of being constantly seen with that redness, and the fact that it usually hits the one area of the body that you just can't hide  - the face is just too much.

You can take some consolation in knowing that you're not alone - there are some prominent figures -  Bill Clinton, Mariah Carey and Rosie O'Donnell - all prone to rosacea.

According to the National Rosacea Society, 74% of rosacea sufferers have cancelled social events because of an outbreak. That's a shame. More than that, it's unnecessary.

Rosacea Relief Serum is a scientifically formulated and highly effective solution to rosacea. There is no cure for rosacea, but there is relief. The makers of Rosacea Relief Serum believe you can minimize the symptoms of rosacea and prevent outbreaks in the first place with a little knowledge, self-awareness and good planning. And in this article you learn exactly how to do that, and why Rosacea Relief Serum is the best way to minimize and ultimately banish rosacea completely.

To begin with, let's take a closer look at some common symptoms of rosacea. They include:

  • flushing
  • redness
  • bumps and pimples
  • visible blood vessels
  • eye irritation
  • burning or stinging
  • dry appearance
  • skin thickening
  • swelling

Note that these symptoms don't always appear and once, but an outbreak will always include at least one of these symptoms. Of the millions of Americans who suffer from rosacea, many are unaware that they're susceptible. You're more at risk for rosacea if you have fair skin and are prone to blushing. Rosacea occurs more often in women than men, but hits men with greater severity.

Rosacea primarily affects the face, with redness on the nose, skin, cheeks and forehead. Occasionally it will appear on the back, neck or chest.

While the cause of rosacea remains unknown, several theories exist. One theory is that rosacea is a disorder of the blood vessels. Another is that rosacea is an impairment of the connective tissues under the skin. In any event, we do know many of the factors that trigger rosacea, including:

  • sun and wind exposure
  • emotional stress
  • hot or cold weather
  • heavy exercise
  • alcohol consumption
  • hot beverages

Solutions for avoiding a rosacea outbreak? There are several. The obvious ones are to avoid these triggers. Sometimes that's possible, and sometimes it's not. You can't control the weather, but you can control your alcohol intake, or of hot beverages. You can use stress management techniques to manage stress. And you can limit heavy exercise.

Having said this, it's not always practical to avoid rosacea triggers, nor is it enjoyable if you like coffee or the odd glass of wine. Moderation helps of course, as does your basic physiology. If alcohol triggers your rosacea outbreaks, use discretion.

You might also do well to seek medical advice. A doctor can prescribe medications that reduce rosacea symptoms. Sometimes these are effective. There are also surgical procedures, in which doctors remove the blood vessels responsible for redness in the nose and face. Emerging technologies involving lasers might help as well.

A less intrusive method, however, that's just as effective and more affordable, is Rosacea Relief Serum. Scientifically formulated with the latest in skin-care technology, including Renovage, which is clinically proven to reduce symptoms of rosacea in 90% of patients, Rosacea Relief Serum reduces redness, inflammation, spider veins and the embarrassment that comes with them.

What's more, Rosacea Relief Serum is specially formulated for people with hyper-sensitive skin, meaning it won't trigger an outbreak. You'll also find Rosacea Relief Serum may prevent outbreaks from even starting. All this without the need for a doctor prescription and the inflated bills that go with it.

Rosacea Relief Serum reduces the symptoms of rosacea and makes people feel good about their skin, their face, their life. Combined with the self-awareness of the symptoms and triggers of rosacea, it's an effective, unintrusive and affordable way to a rosacea-free life!

A Review of Skinception Intensive Stretch Mark Therapy

In the grand scheme of things, stretch marks tell the world you've been around and done remarkable things, they tell a story such as I am a mother!, I did it - I lost weight!. But on the beach, and behind closed doors, they're the kind of biological milestones that are not only unflattering, they also really hurt your self-esteem, with todays "appearance is everything" mentality history takes second place.

Up to 90% of mothers have stretch marks. Something that says "I achieved" isn't seen as "sexy" and now this achievement does not hold all the glory because it left behind something that makes you look ugly!

It's not just pregnancy that triggers these scars of life where you least want them. Adolescence, weight gain or loss. Heck, even weight-lifting can cause stretch marks. Did you get that guys?

Suffice to say, you're reading this article because you've got stretch marks. More importantly, you want to minimize those stretch marks and the effect they have on your self- esteem. And you can! The solution is: Skinception Intensive Stretch Mark Therapy.

What Causes Stretch Marks?

Striae, or stretch marks, form when the skin has been scarred from the inside-out.

Contrary to what you may have heard, they're not just the result of skin that's been stretched beyond its limit. Healthy skin requires two things: collagen and elastin. Collagen gives rigidity to the connective tissues. And elastin, as its name implies, gives elasticity to the skin.

You know how when you pinch your skin it quickly retains its original shape? Elastin in action.

Some life events, including pregnancy, weight gain or loss, surgery and adolescence cause the body to secrete a hormone called glucocorticoids. And this hormone prevents the skin from producing the collagen and elastin required for taut, young skin.

Without collagen and elastin, the layers of skin separate. At first we see them as angry red strips. Then the blood vessels dilate, and the loss of pigment eventually leads to a silver or white appearance. And voila - stretch marks. On the abdomen, hips, thighs and buttocks. The sexy spots. How...unsexy.

How to Exfoliate Skin

Skin exfoliation is the process of removing old skin cells from the top most layer of skin to reveal a new fresh layer of skin cells for a smooth look and feel. Common methods are facials, microdermabraison and checmical peels.

African_skin

Microdermabrasion is a general term for the application of tiny rough grains to buff away the surface layer of skin. It is also known as "power peel" and is more like softened sandblasting. It involves tiny crystals that are sprayed on the skin and works best on minor skin problems like fine lines, dull skin, brown spots, mild acne scars, and age spots. This procedure usually provides results almost immediately as compared to chemical peels.

Chemical peel, also known as chemexfoliation or derma-peeling, is a technique used to improve the appearance and texture of the skin. Basically the treatment involves the application of a chemical solution to the skin, which causes it to "blister" and eventually peel off. The new, regenerated skin is usually smoother and less wrinkled than the old skin. The new skin also is temporarily more sensitive to the sun. This treatment does not provide results as quickly as the Microdermabraison procedure as it takes time for the skin to peel and for the new skin to "heal".

Until recently, these treatments were only available at the Spa or Beauty Salon and were expensive, but now there are many products available that are not only reasonably priced but also can be used at home in your own time, so no excuses! Click here to find some great skin exfoliation products

So why should you exfoliate your skin regularly?

  1. Skin Exfoliation helps new skin to come to the surface sooner than it would if you did not exfoliate which will give your skin a smooth feel and fresh look.
  2. It helps to treat skin problems such as:

a.   Acne - this is a skin condition that can go deep through several layers of skin, by regular skin exfoliation, new healthier skin can come to the surface sooner. Exfoliation should be done per Dermatologists instructions.

b.   Acne Scars - Scars go through many layers of skin so as explained above regular skin exfoliation will help.

c.   Clogged pores can cause blackheads and whiteheads - exfoliation can help to clear these pores usually reducing or stopping any blockage from forming blemishes.

d.   Hyperpigmentation - as skin ages or as a result of pregnancsy or genetical issues, skin hyperpigmentation can result in dark spots on the skin. Skin Exfoliation can help lighten and in most cases diminish these spots.

e.   Dry Skin - dry skin happens when there is a build up of old skin cells on the skin. By layering on creams to combat this is usually not advisable as you are essentially trying to hydrate old skin that probably cannot be hydrated. You are usually better off by exfoliating to get rid of the old skin to reveal the fresh new skin beneath.

So follow a regular skin exfoliation routine to bring out the new smooth skin for a fresher you!
